Announcing: RAWKSHOTS: June 4 @ Origami Vinyl

Pals, I’m very pleased to announce my first-ever photo exhibition at the venerable Origami Vinyl next month. We’re kicking things off with an opening night party on Friday, June 4, at 7 p.m., and as Travis Morrison once said, you are invited. Rawkblog favorites Death Kit and LA Font will be playing live sets, limited-edition prints of my work will be on display (and for sale, signed and numbered by yrs truly) and we’ll have free beer until we run out of PBR.     You photos are, to be honest, not really that great. I'm glad you got a show (it's not your bff's store is it?) and hopefully it will encourage and enable you to work on your art, but you might want to have better product before a big “coming out” event such as this. Checking out your site, in your live photos everyone has their eyes closed – are they sleeping? Do you like seeing people with their eyes closed? Is this your style or did you not catch them in a “rock moment” with eyes open. As they say, eyes are the window to the soul. Plenty of them are grainy, soft focus, and lacking much real emotion. Sorry to be harsh, but if you can't be your own worst critic, you won't go far in this world….I'll might drop by the opening and slam some of those free PBRs though!
