Live Recordings: Ben Gibbard @ The Knitting Factory, NY – 11.13.02

Remember when Death Cab was good? And when Ben Gibbard playing ironic covers was actually ironic and not ironically ironic? Man. Those were the days, sort of – Death Cab still being Death Cab and all. This show has my favorite version of “I Was a Kaleidoscope” (not to mention “Complicated”). Gibbard is playing a UCLA Live show solo at Royce Hall on Thursday.

are you going to have the recording from the show last night?
did it get recorded? i didn’t make the show but if a tape surfaces, i’ll put it up.
Death Cab is still good…
Plans is certainly my least favorite though, and unfortunately and ironically is their most popular. I’m seeing him tonight, pretty excited!
I get ya on the whole ironic covers thing.
Thanks so much for this!
Plans was a great record in my opinion. I just played a show with portland school of rock and ben gibbard was with us. Heres a video of us playin new year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiC8OZ5bZ90
